@emmetgibney

I work for Rewardful, a small SaaS company building tools for managing affiliate programs. I'm also the creator of SaaStack! This is a side-project I've created for fun. I hope you find it useful :-) Be sure to add the tools you use and let people know what you think of them. The idea of this site is so you can share what tools you're using, so others know what they should use. You can also create polls asking for suggestions on what sort of tool you need.

My go to for creating wireframes. It's more or less the default now for doing app layouts I think.

Sketch is an all-in-one platform for digital design, offering collaborative design tools, prototyping, and developer handoff. It provides a Mac app for designers to create, team up, prototype, and more, as well as a web app for browsing, feedback.

I don't use it as much as I used to, but it's basically my go to for creating any web graphics/icons etc. It's probably not the best product for the purposes I use it for. For example, if I'm doing layouts etc I'll use Figma because it has a better web interface for collaboration than Sketch does (at least when I used it). But I find Figma isn't good for creating "assets".

Intercom is a messaging platform revolutionizing business connections through personalized interactions and innovative messaging solutions for over 17,000 businesses worldwide.

Intercom is pretty indispensable to Rewardful. Our support chat is really important to us, and the ability to set up automated messaging (in app, and email) is pretty important to our onboarding flow. They've had some issues around their pricing that has annoyed some people. Other than the cost it's a great tool.

Asana is a web and mobile application that helps teams improve communication, organization, and collaboration. It streamlines work processes, connects tasks to company goals, and is trusted by global clients like Amazon and Japan Airlines.

We use this at Rewardful, and it's super helpful for keeping the team organized around shared projects. I also use it to manage my own professional to do list. It's probably a bit overkill for most startups, for smaller projects and personal tasks I use Trello.

Transistor is a modern podcast hosting and analytics platform that allows users to create unlimited podcasts for one monthly price. They offer services such as private podcasting, dynamic ad insertion, podcast distribution to major platforms like Apple

I stopped doing my podcast a while back, but when I was running it I used Transistor. It's a great tool for podcasting hosting, and run by a great team. I'd definitely recommend them if you're planning to set up a podcast.

HubSpot offers a comprehensive cloud-based marketing and sales platform with integrated applications for attracting, converting, and delighting customers through inbound marketing strategies.

I'm recommending Hubspot, but with a caveat. It's expensive unless you're making a bit of money. For small startups I'd find something else, unless maybe if you're a sales led company.

Send transactional and marketing emails and get them to the inbox on time, every time. Postmark is a fast and reliable email delivery service for developers.

I've used a number of transactional email services, and I tried Postmark for SaaStack just to try it out. It was pretty quick and easy to get started with on the free plan. We'll see how it goes over time. We also use it at Rewardful. that said, I'm not a developer so I haven't had any interaction with it there.

Set up email forwarding in seconds and start receiving and sending emails with your domain name. Absolutely free. Rock-solid infrastructure. World-class support.

This made it really easy for me to get an email set up for SaaStack, without needing to get set up with something more heavyweight like Google Workspace. I think this would be really handy for indiehackers wanting to have an email address set up for their projects.

Heroku is a platform as a service (PaaS) that enables developers to build, run, and operate applications entirely in the cloud.

We use Heroku at Rewardful, and I also use it for all of my hobby projects. It's all I use, so I don't know what I don't know, but it's been pretty simple to get up and running with.

I love Rewardful! Of course, I am biased as the CEO, but it's really helpful for people setting up affiliate programs. It's easy to install and get up and running, and it's much cheaper than many of the other options out in the market.
